IN THIS LESSON

Module 3 — Moral Injury & Soul Injury: When the Inside Breaks

Participants explore moral and spiritual pain as drivers of shame, isolation, guilt, anger, and self-condemnation. The module separates moral injury from fear-based trauma and helps participants identify first steps toward repair without requiring public confession or graphic disclosure.

Learning objectives

  • Distinguish moral injury from PTSD, depression, and anxiety.

  • Recognize pathways: commission, omission, witnessing, betrayal.

  • Separate guilt from shame and name how shame isolates.

  • Practice a moral repair ladder and a 7-day micro-step.
