IN THIS LESSON

Module 4 — The Will to Meaning: Responsibility, Calling, and Agency

This module uses meaning, responsibility, and agency as protective forces against helplessness. Participants learn that meaning is not the same as mood and that small, value-aligned actions can restore direction even when the past cannot be changed.

Learning objectives

  • Explain why meaning protects when life is hard.

  • Separate responsibility from blame, shame, and self-condemnation.

  • Practice attitudinal freedom when the past cannot change.

  • Build a 7-day micro-mission tied to values and service.
